Digital Health // Technical Leadership
The services below are an outline of the ‘products’ that we have found to be most useful to early stage companies to ensure the realisation of technology related opportunities and growth.
Each of these will be tailored to the requirements of your company, and will cover, depending on your requirements: engineering, science and data science, regulatory activities and intellectual property strategy.
A key concern of all of the services offered is appropriateness of recommendations and plans to the resources and capabilities of the company. Early stage companies are often highly resource constrained and any successful plan of action must recognise this.
Meridian Line Systems’ technical leadership takes three broad forms:
Strategic Review
This is a brief fixed cost review of the technology position of your company. The consultant will work with the appropriate member of the management team to identify technology related growth obstacles and opportunities, and to recommend long term, medium term and immediate action plans to enable and accelerate that growth.
A typical review will be two to five days of work.
Senior Technical Advisor
The Senior Technical Advisor will typically work with and report to the company’s Chief Technology Officer or Chief Operating Officer to provide technical guidance appropriate to the stage of the company’s growth and addressing the challenges faced. The Senior Technical Advisor will identify technology related growth obstacles and opportunities, and recommend long term, medium term and immediate action plans to enable and accelerate that growth. Where appropriate the advisor will provide management to directly implement the plans, but ensuring that all key decisions are taken by the company’s Chief Technology Officer or Chief Operating Officer.
A Senior Technical Advisor will typically work for the company for between 1 and 3 days a week.
Chief Technology Officer
The Chief Technology Officer will typically work with and report to the company’s Chief Executive Officer and the company Board. The Chief Technology Officer will identify technology related growth obstacles and opportunities, and recommend long term, medium term and immediate action plans to enable and accelerate that growth. He or she will then implement those plans ensuring that identified benefits are realised.
A Chief Technology Officer will typically work for the company for between 2 and 4 days a week.
